Glowing Skin Even In Winter

Glowing Skin Even In Winter

I know every time winter hits I am always stocking up on lotion and everything that I can find to help maintain healthy skin. But did you know eating certain vegetables and fruits can help maintain healthy-looking skin? Add the following vegetables to your plate and start nourishing your skin.

Carrots

Have you heard of carotenoids? Carrots are a rich source of carotenoids. They are yellow, orange, and red organic pigments that are produced by plants and algae, as well as several bacteria, and fungi. They get stored in the skin and act as barriers against harmful UV radiation which helps protect the skin against cancers. These orange-looking vegetables are also rich in vitamins A and C, which are known to protect against signs of aging, help induce even skin tone and texture and clear up acne.

Beetroots

Beetroots are rich in vitamin C which is found in most anti-aging creams because of their antioxidant properties.

Green leafy vegetables

Eating leafy greens offer major benefits to your skin. They offer a great source of vitamin E and are rich in beta-carotene, a powerful antioxidant known for its ability to renew and repair the skin.

Berries

Not only are berries delicious but they are also packed with antioxidants that help damaged skin. In addition, blueberries are vascular constrictors, meaning they help decrease redness for those with sensitive skin.
